We had a plan to stop here after we went to the Royal Terrel Museum. The pricing was the same as getting into the Royal Terrel Museum. The location is a bit small, but we did enjoy the museum, my kids really enjoyed it, which I was not sure if they would, they spoke about it for days. One of the people there tells you about what you are looking at and brings out props to show you, that to me and my family was the added value. It is not a large museum, but if you like to see costumes and movie props this is a fun little place.
Great staff!We had a lot of fun and there was some fantastic displays. Although the main theme was Star Trek memorabilia, there are props and costumes from other movies and TV shows that brought back wonderful childhood memories - especially of the movies and shows that were filmed right here in Alberta. One of the proprietors - the one that served as our guide throughout the exhibits, had a surprisingly in-depth background with show business that added greatly to the experience.We had family from Germany and our guide was able to converse with them in German so they could really understand, enjoy and learn with greater comprehension. THANKS GUYS!!! Well done!And, we wish you all the best in the growth of your impressive, much larger than expected, treasure trove of defining film and TV history.NB: Since most of you are driving by it anyway, stop here BEFORE you hit the Tyrell Museum.
I had a blast visiting Trekcetera. You're immediately greeted by the owner, who I must say is a stand up fellow. Throughout the tour he will answer any questions, and even bring out real props used in film. Not to mention, he worked in the industry (maybe still does) and has personal stories related to certain props. I absolutely will be back, and I urge anyone who has an interest in not only star trek, but film in general to check it out.
Best StarTrek exhibit in Alberta. Way better than what Vulcan has to offer. I very much enjoyed my visit here and so so glad that my wife pointed this place out. Then owners were fantastic, the place had class and pride of ownership for all displays.
Everything about this attraction is top notch. The owners are so very friendly and super knowledgeable about the business, the props and movie stuff in general. Devan and Michael are a great team to operate such an one of a kind exhibit. All of the pieces in the museum are exquisitely and professionally displayed. There truly is nothing else like it anywhere in Canada (dare I say North America). Would go again and would DEFINITELY advise anyone else that is either a movie buff or passing through Drumheller to visit Trekcetera....it will be the best admission price youll pay (like I say....worth the price of admission).
