They have an extensive selection of fossils and other interesting items in this shop. They are really reasonably priced and offer knowledgeable service. I truly found some perfect gems here. They really do go out of their way to help when asked a question. The shop clerk also helped pack our items really well so they'd be perfect for our trip back home. I enjoyed the opportunity to see rare fossils up close and enjoy their beauty.
Cool spot with a great fossil gift shop. Prices seem to be on par with other shops in the area. They do have some very incredible fossils for sale if you are inclined. The "museum" side is a bit basic, but the kids enjoy the activities every time. I'd highly recommend it for a visit. Expect to spend the better part of an hour exploring the gift shop and at least 2 hours if you take in the museum.
Something this place should advertise more is the animatronic dinosaurs that are displayed here. They are super fun to take your family to. We had no idea these things were inside this place. We drove past here probably 2 dozen times before we decided to stop in just for kicks. They need to have signage or something outside to bring people here. Other than that the gift shop/fossil shop is great also.
Staff was rude. Place is way over priced. Looks niceEdit: Went in looking for fossils with a geologist in from the east coast. We had 4 kids in tow. Planned on buying treats for the kids. The pay area was not clearly marked, and they went to a sand pit. Staff member immediately came over to state this to my wife, who appoligised two times and moved on. They then went to a large bin at the front, full of colorful stones. Again the staff came and said if any stones were placed in a bag, that they had to be purchased. This put a sour taste in our mouths and we left. Shame on the store staff for not being welcoming. After reading further reviews, we have seen that any time someone is unhappy with the quality of service, and writes about it, the owner is quick to respond in blaming the customer for whatever issues may have come up.
Seen the signs when they were building the place, finally got a chance to stop in! Very cool. Well done on the animation of the T-Rex, my daughter was 2.5 took her a while to walk up anywhere near it! If you stand and stair into its eyes it's eerily haunting!! Their geode collections is phenomenal, I heard either the employee or owner talking about having to travel to Madagascar for certain rocks. I'm not a rock person but that's dedication! They did a wonderful job and it shows they love their establishment.
